Hello, My Name is Paul Smith invites visitors into the world of British designer Paul Smith, to discover his eclectic creative process and singular approach to fashion design and retail.
With no formal design training, Paul Smith launched his fashion empire in Nottingham, England in 1970, staged his debut Paris menswear show in 1976, and opened his first London shop in Floral Street in 1979. Paul Smith is now one of the world’s leading fashion brands.
Including recreations of Paul Smith’s first, tiny, three metre square retail space and the designer’s ephemera and souvenir-packed office, the exhibition will reveal the maverick inspiration and intuitive process behind the designer’s commercial success.
Curated by Paul Smith and Donna Loveday.
Hello, My Name is Paul Smith: Fashion and Other Stories is published by Rizzoli.
